I have learned so much from this experience. I believe it has made a profound impact on my view of technology. I know that technology is important in the classroom, but I never took the time to actually learn how to use the tools given to us to improve the quality of teaching. As a district level administrator, I sat through many technology presentations and recommended purchases for some of the technology presented. However, I only trained myself to use the technology I needed in my positon. This has opened my eyes to the benefits of using technology at the higher ed level to enhance my teaching and student learning. I look forward to learning more!!!!

Module 2 Tools
It has been a great experience for me to learn the tools in the Module 2 toolbox. Screencast will be of great benefit for me this fall. It is a great feature to explain by example. I am not a real technology person, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to learn some of the tools available to me and my plan is to expand my knowledge beyond this class. So, if any of you have any ways or tips I would be interested in hearing and learning about your use of technology with your students or your personal use.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to learn more about online education. As we educate our teachers we rs ealize that most of their students were born into a world of ipads, tablets and the internet. I have witnessed 2 year olds that know how to use a cellphone. If teachers are required to teach in a 21st century environment, we must prepare them to do so. I will say that the nature of our program may make it difficult for some of our students to develop the midset that will assist them in using technology in the classroom. Therfore, I believe that we must tread softly with those students and do what we can to assist our older students that are not tech savy. In my short tenure here, I have witnessed older students drop out of the program because of the fear of online learning. It is important that the lines of communication stay open for these students so that they feel supported.
